Best dental practice to work at

It is our honor and privilege to present Arch Dental Group’s first ever “Best Dental Practice to Work At” 2023 award. After careful and diligent consideration of over 100 dental practices in Illinois, we selected Dentists of Hinsdale Lake to receive this award. We asked ourselves – what does it mean to BE the best practice to work at? The answer is quite complex, but it boils down to one thing. Here’s what we came up with.

Practice reputation among patients, employees, & candidates

The criteria we used when selecting the recipient of this award is based on many different factors from practice operations, culture, management, team morale, patient reputation, and training systems. Working with hundreds of dental practice owners, we understand it can be difficult to create a practice environment where your team comes to work eager to start the day. Your reputation is a testament to the hard and dedicated work your team puts in every day.

Employee retention rate, training programs, & schedule

Employee retention rate is crucial to business success for several reasons. High employee turnover can be costly due to the expenses associated with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.

Having the right training programs in place can ensure that all employees, including dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff, have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and efficiently. Doing this while implementing a schedule that allows employees to have greater control over their work-life balance, which can lead to reduced stress and increased job satisfaction.

Management & ownership continued investment

DOHL’s mission statement is, “We believe in the value of a healthy smile and the impact it makes on the people we serve’ and we strive to make it ‘easy to smile”. The team at DOHL embodies these practice ideals and it clearly trickles down to their team members and their patients experience. Creating a positive work culture starts from the top. From the owner, to the associates, managers, hygienists, assistants, and front office team members – every person in the practice feels committed and dedicated to creating a positive environment, 100% of the time.
